[No D5 present on the PLL board]
I asked for the last two years about the mods for the New IC-725A and to my suprise no one knew how to do it.
Everyone mentioned the mods for the old 725a pre 1998. Well Icom changed the boards (or else there are 100's of clone or fake icoms in Asia at the moment)
Well the good news is that this new version of the 725a rig is in fact very simular to the IC-707 and the mods are exactly the same.
Simple remove the D12 located behind the front panel (yes on the front panel not the PLL board) and snip it (it is board monted so simply cut it in half) and you are in business.
I would like to thank "artsci" for NOTHING, what a useless book, and even after Bill promised my money back it was never forth comming.
ICOM USA and ICOM Japan, when you change curcuit boards how about updating the manuals or even offer to help with a hint in where to get the new manuals, other than your dealer has it, and my dealer knows no
