What is the IC-207 Programmer?
The IC-207 Programmer is designed to give you the ease and convenience of programming the memories and options of you radio from your PC. Using the Programmer, you can create files for unique applications (travel, Emergency activities, or special events) containing various settings, such as memories, power management features, and DTMF numbers. Alternately, you can read configurations from the radio, store these in files on your computer and easily make changes. Then, with minimal button pushing, you can send the new configuration back to the radio.
Hardware Requirements
In addition to a PC running Microsoft Windows (3.1/95/98 or NT), you need a free (one on which a modem is not configured) 9-pin serial port on your PC and the Icom OPC-646 Clone Interface Cable. The cable connects the radio to the computer between the serial port on the computer and the interface jack located behind the face of the radio.
