Here is what to do.
Hold the BAND and the SQL buttons then turn the radio on that will open up the rx. This will allow you to listen to some of the VHF TV channels and all of the UHF TV Channels I got this from a friend who got it from a guy at Icom.
After Expansion, the following approximate frequencies and Modes become available:
50 - 75.99 Mhz NBF
76 - 107.99 Mhz WFM
108 - 135.99 Mhz AM
136 - 174 Mhz NFM
174 - 229.99 Mhz FM
300 - 399.99 Mhz AM
400 - 599.98 Mhz NFM
600 - 824 Mhz NFM
848 - 869 Mhz NFM
894 - 999.99 Mhz NFM
