Yaesu FT-8900R (FT 8900 R FT8900R) transceivers: Splitting the left and Right bank Audio

Press the set button
Turn the tuning dial to #38 SPCONT
Push the tuning dial
Rotate till you see INT
Exit set mode

Now you should hear the left bank on the internal speaker & the right on a external speaker.

If you would like to have two external speakers. Look at the plug connected to the internal speaker. Here you have two choices.

1. Unsolder the wires from the speaker and run them out of the radio with the fan wires and connect to a external speaker, or
   
   
2. Purchase a new plug and leave the internal speaker intact.

I found a new plug from a old computer and used it so that I could hook the internal speaker back up easily if I needed the radio elsewhere.

I am not sure whether this work before the tx/rx mod because I done the mod right out of the box.
